Youtube Channel!
11:11 AMHello. So I have been creating creative content over on Youtube for over a year now, and I thought it would finally be the best time to promote my channel over here on my blog. I'll briefly do a quick run down about what my channel is all about and what content I produce on there.
Channel Name: Miss Steph youtube.com/c/MissStephx
Created: January 5th 2014
Why haven't your videos been consistent?
From when I created the channel to September of this year, I struggled with deciding on what content I truly want to be creating for my audience but also keeping a balance with what I enjoy creating.
So what content do you produce now?
To me I love to post videos which are related to my life but I couldn't decide on just one area of my life to focus on, so I create videos relating to beauty, lifestyle, university, planner and also vlogs.
What is your uploading schedule?
For the past 3 months I have been sticking to a consistent schedule of two uploads a week. I post Fridays and Sundays. My Friday upload is a regular video consisting of one of the 4 categories while my Sunday upload is a weekly vlog.
What made you decide to post weekly vlogs?
I personally love watching vlogs and so far I have been getting a great response from my viewers. I love being able to document my life and it will be great to when I look back on years from now, to remember those days.
How long has it taken for you to get comfortable in front of the camera?
It has taken me a through a lot of videos to finally feel somewhat comfortable. I am still learning and I feel like I am not quite there yet at feeling my 100%. Talking to a camera can get nerve recking. I have found since posting weekly vlogs, it has helped me tremendously to build that confidence.
Where do you live?
I live in Brisbane, Australia. To me, I feel Youtube isn't as big here as it is say in America and or England.
What camera do you use to film with?
When I first started off I used a point and shoot camera but from September of this year when my channel has finally picked up and started to grow consistently, I have been using my iPhone 6. My phone camera works wonders and for me at the amount of viewers I have, is perfectly fine. I get asked what camera I use and when I say I use my phone, the response I get is shocked and then I get complimented about how well my quality is with what I use. I would eventually love to invest in a Canon DSLR camera.
What lighting equipment do you use?
Again, viewers have the assumption that you need the top notch equipment to produce good quality content. I don't personally use fancy equipment at the moment. I don't have soft boxes or cowbody studio lights, I use a floor lamp I purchased from Target with a 70W clear white lightbulb and then to keep the lighting consistent I use a smaller lamp with a 20W yellow lightbulb as well as my room light.
Have you made any Youtube friends?
Of course, I have made really good friends based all around the world and in Australia alone. I am in a huge collab channel with 9 other girls and we all based in Sydney and Brisbane. I have also made friends with Youtubers who have a large following and I love that even though you may have a lot of followers does not mean you have to downgrade smaller Youtubers. I have a strong belief in that and whether I do get a substantial amount of viewers or not, I will always stay true and genuine.
